Hi! I’m Amanda Enlow and I use she/her pronouns. I am a clinical social work intern passionate about helping people love their bodies and embrace imperfection in their lives. I am pursuing my Master of Social Work at the University of Washington Tacoma and I’m training to provide mental health therapy under the supervision of Sazi Wald #LW61407723.
I hold a Bachelor in English from Western Washington University, where I developed a deep appreciation for the power of language and storytelling. My experiences as a childcare provider instilled in me a strong sense of empathy and patience, allowing me to connect with people effectively and develop a safe, nonjudgmental space. My longtime work and previous internship in higher education deepened my appreciation for the challenges of a diverse student body, allowing me to support students’ academic and personal journeys. In my role as a caregiver, I learned the importance of compassion, resilience, and advocacy.
I approach this work through an intersectional feminist lens, recognizing how societal expectations can disproportionately impact women and marginalized individuals. This perspective allows us to challenge oppressive standards and cultivate a more empowering narrative around self-worth. I strive to meet each client with open-mindedness, authenticity, and humor. I believe each person is the authority on themselves and I respect your experience.
